JET LI WELCOMES ADDITION TO THE FAMILY
LOS ANGELES, CA - - Actor and world-renowned martial arts master Jet Li and his wife, Nina, welcomed their first child, a girl, Jane Li, born Wednesday, April 19th at 7:53 am in Los Angeles. The baby weighed 6 lbs., 13 oz. The Lis were married last fall in a private ceremony in Los Angeles, California.
Jane Li made her appearance into the world earlier than expected, but both mother and child are in excellent health and are resting comfortably at home.
Mr. Li is currently enjoying the successful release of his latest film, Romeo Must Die. The hip-hop, kung-fu film has grossed over $50 million to date within the United States and Canada. Li's upcoming projects include a television series, Invincible, which he will produce with Mel Gibson's Icon Productions and Alliance Atlantis Communications for the Turner Broadcasting System, and the recently announced First King for Warner Bros., an original story by Li which he will star in and produce, loosely based on the first king of China.
