synopsis
In this retelling of Bruce Lee's classic Chinese Connection, legendary patriot Chen Zhen (Jet Li) returns to Shanghai from his studies in Japan in order to investigate the death of his master. He ends up discovering that his master was murdered by the local Japanese general. Against the backdrop of simmering Sino-Japanese tensions, Chen Zhen must settle the feud between the two factions--once and for all.
